Starting this post we should admit the truth. We never thought that there are so many places to visit in Bucharest! It was a really nice surprise. The capital of Romania is quite large, with almost 3 million habitants (maybe more) with interesting history and vivid nature. Besides that, it is a great destination if you travel on a budget! You can find great hotels and restaurants in really good prices.

The concert hall of Bucharest is an impressive building with a beautiful dome and neoclassical decoration. If you can’t enjoy a concert at least go to see the building.

Cismigiu Gardens


A delightful park-garden with many kind of local and imported plants. It is really an oasis in the city. Many benches to take a seat and enjoy a hot traditional covrigi with sesame (something like pretzel).

 

 

Stavropoleos church


Orthodox Church and monastery with a characteristic architecture and muted colors. A historic monument in the heart of Bucharest. A cute courtyard can be found at the back of the church. Take a break and enjoy the peaceful environment.

 

 

Palace of Parliament


The largest building in Europe, the ambitious plan of a dictator which now hosts basically the chamber of deputies. Intimidating and quite impressive. Definitely one of the best places to visit in Bucharest.
