18 Jul An Oasis in Phuket : Thavorn Beach Village Resort & Spa
Our trip to Thailand began from Bangkok, next stop was Chiang Mai city, and final destination was Phuket island! Phuket Island is a worldwide known travel destination famous for its exotic sandy beaches, first class services provided as well as the numerous choices to have fun. This is how we also decided to arrange this very interesting trip at the hotel Thavorn Beach Village Resort & Spa, so as to enjoy our days relaxing, and doing all these nice things that this island has to offer.

LOCATION
Our arrival
We reached our destination around 3 at noon, entering the really impressive lobby of the hotel Thavorn Beach Village Resort & Spa where we were welcomed with a cup of refreshing cold Hibiscus tea. The entrance of this hotel itself is giving immediately the picture of the 5 star luxurious experience that you are about to live. What is really important and pleasant to mention at this point is, that this luxurious experience comes at a quite affordable price, something that makes this experience, overall, much more pleasant. So, as I was saying, we completed the check-in and we were escorted to our room, an amazing beach cottage.
The room
The room was located in front of the beach, having an amazing view in the private beach of the hotel and the Nakalay Bay. The decoration of the room was quite simple, including some touches of Thai architecture, painted in white tones, something that made the whole scene even more relaxing for us. The room was quite spacious, it had places where you could relax, as well as a huge bathroom that was more like a hammam. All the things you can imagine and you might need, there were available for you! From bathrobes, slippers products for personal care, even, anti-mosquito bite spray! There was also an exterior place like a yard, for relaxation with an incredible sea view and the well maintained gardens. And since we talked about gardens, it is worth pointing out that the green element is dominant in every corner of the hotel!
The gardens
Thavorn Beach Village Resort & Spa is a hotel with ecological conscience, something that we really appreciated and made a huge difference! Apart from the green element that as we already said is dominant everywhere in the hotel, the facility has its own votanical gardens. There, is where you will have the chance to come across many different and various species of plants, from orchids to bonsai trees, some of which are hundred years old. But plants, is not the only thing that you will be able to see there! You will see little frogs, astonishing butterflies, even rabbits. Additionally, the hotel is hosting two turtles that we had the chance to see in person.
Having a romantic dinner in Old Siam
After our arrival we needed to take some rest and then we got ready to enjoy a romantic dinner under the candle lights on the beach, in Old Siam, the Thai restaurant of the hotel. Visiting the Thai restaurant itself is enough and it totally worth paying a visit! The scenery was incredibly romantic, while every plate served was beyond our expectation. We started with a Thai seafood salad as a first course, while as a main course we tried a variety of grilled seafood and meat. Everything was absolutely delicious! Note at this point that you can visit this restaurant even if you are not a guest of the hotel.
The lagoon- swimming pool!
The next day, after taking our breakfast, we visited the swimming pool of the hotel to enjoy some moments of relaxation. What was really impressive about this swimming pool, is first of all its incredible size (more than 4,900 Sqm) and secondly, that it is surrounded from so much green and vegetation that makes it look like a lagoon. To be honest we could spend the rest of the day there, enjoying refreshing cocktails, interrupted from some cool off dives!
Cooking classes!
After enjoying quite some time in the swimming pool, we got ourselves ready for a savory afternoon! What was in the schedule? Thai kitchen cooking classes! What we did, was learning how to cook authentic traditional Thai dishes, which in the end, of course we tried! The menu consisted of the traditional Tom Yum Soup, it is a shrimp soup, also green carry with chicken, and the famous pad Thai (noodles dish). The whole procedure was really fun, amusing but also constructive. Our chef apart from his amazing talent, had also great sense of humor and nice mood, something that made all of us to have fun. In the end, we enjoyed the fruits of our effort and we left full of tasty food and satisfaction!
The Chann Wellness Spa
There is no other better way of closing this unique stay than visiting a well-known and awarded spa. And there is no question about it! We reached in a very well maintained and peaceful place where they took us in the massage area to enjoy the last precious moments of relaxation. An hour later, we couldn’t even recognize ourselves, relaxed, covered in essential oils and in an absolute relaxing mood. If only we had some more time to pay a visit again! Unfortunately we had to go back!
